Kia Austria – an EV Fleet for the CALL Festival Star Guests
Through the Gasteinertal in the World Car of the Year: Kia is not only one of the world's leading car brands, but also Main Sponsor of the CALL Film Festival and will be providing the chauffeur service for the star guests.
Founded in Seoul in 1944, the Kia brand has been present in Austria since 1995. Kia has been driving electric since 2014, making it an important innovation driver in the transformation to electromobility. Since 2006, Kia has been manufacturing up to 350,000 vehicles a year in Slovakia. The brand’s commitment to environmentally friendly mobility solutions is reflected in its multi-year collaboration with The Ocean Cleanup.
Multi-award-winning. With models such as the EV6 (Europe’s „Car of the Year 2022“), the EV9 („World Car of the Year 2024“), the EV3 („World Car of the Year 2025“), as well as the recently introduced EV4 and EV5 and, most recently, the EV2, Kia has proven that modern electric cars are not only able to compete with conventionally powered vehicles, but are in many respects even superior to them. Thanks to an exclusively electric platform with batteries integrated flat into the floor, Kia’s new EVs combine outstanding interior space with everyday-ready range.
Films move and inspire – a sentiment also reflected in Kia’s brand claim „Movement that Inspires“. Kia’s new EVs may not be cinemas, but their online-based in-car entertainment does at least include Netflix.
As a comprehensive mobility provider, Kia is also opening up the segment of light commercial vehicles – consistently all-electric and maximally innovative. The first to debut, in late 2025, was the PV5: at around 4.80 metres in length, the ideal family van in its Passenger version and, as Cargo, available in numerous body variants with a low loading edge and a generous cargo area.
With the Concept Meta Turismo, unveiled at Milan Design Week, Kia offers a glimpse of the next generation of EVs. While the exterior design emphasises sportiness with the arc of its roofline, the interior brings together all the attributes of a gaming lounge with the spaciousness of a living room.
In addition, all new models of the brand are distinguished by state-of-the-art connectivity and intuitive operation, as well as Kia’s signature 7-year manufacturer’s warranty (150,000 km).
