CALL for Peace Selection
Palestine, 1936: more and more villages rise up against the British colonial power, which enforces its rule with violence. At the same time, European Jews fleeing Nazi persecution are settling in the region. Between his rural home village and an increasingly tense Jerusalem, the neutral Yusuf travels back and forth. After a fateful incident, the young man sides with the resistance. He joins allies such as the dockworker Khalid, who, faced with the escalating situation, sees no other choice but to take up arms.
As personal fates and political upheavals weave together inexorably, the situation escalates dramatically — a defining moment that marks the origin of a conflict that still shapes the entire region today.
