OOOM 100: The World’s Most Inspiring People 2022

It was a comeback year. We learned to live with Covid-19. No one would have ever thought that a completely senseless war in the middle of Europe could change our entire lives from one day to the next. For the sixth time, OOOM presents "OOOM 100: The World's Most Inspiring People." list. The OOOM editorial board and an international jury compiled the ranking, which was created BEFORE the attack on Ukraine. Nevertheless, probably the most powerful opponent of Vladimir Putin until the invasion of Ukraine became the number 1—and also Kiev's mayor Vitali Klitschko can be found in the ranking beating the Pope, US President Putin and the Dalai Lama. Drawing up such a ranking is, by nature, a subjective undertaking. But it shows which individuals have most impressed us recently. To reflect current global developments, the OOOM 100 jury has decided to select Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky as the "Most Inspiring Global Leader" 2022 outside the regular ranking: "His personal commitment to the freedom and independence of his country touches the whole world. Volodymyr Zelensky is a modern hero, a beacon of hope and a shining example for all of us."
